The drawer provides storage for oil cans, recorders, and other paraphernalia. The reproducer should be the Edison Automatic rather than the model B. The Edison "Spring Motor" was the predecessor to the Edison Triumph. 1896 Spring Motor phonograph cost a whopping $100 when it was released, falling $50 by 1900.
